Solar Pool Heater
Vs. Solar Panel Pool Heaters

A Picture Worth
A Thousand Words!

The above picture is interesting and is literally worth one thousand words.  You can visually observe two rows of five solar panels each on the roof.  Standard panels are 4x10 ft. in size or 40 square feet.  The above system therefore appears to be 400 square feet in size.  The swimming pool is enclosed within the screened-in area. The pool's filter and other equipment are located to the right of the door (lower right of the picture).

We are asked all the time how our SolarAttic attic solar pool heater compares with solar panel systems for heating swimming pools. Twenty-five years of experience tells us that they perform on a par with each other heating pools. But, the picture above tells the real story most consumers care about.  What do you think is odd about this picture? Yes, its the four wind driven turbines mounted on the roof to get rid of all the attic heat! The real story is wasted free solar heat energy and the aesthetics of having ugly panels on the roof. And, with the solar roof panels, there is no house cooling that occurs. A really big difference. This is what happens with the attic solar pool heater. It heats the pool and also cools the house at the same time. Think about it!

Why not just use the attic heat?
